The 3rd Annual USC CommunityYard Sale hosted by Alpha Phi Omega- Alpha Kappa was defnitely a great way to end off the semester and it was more than a huge success. About 60 tables were covered in sellable items, ranging from high heels to plastic cameras to kids' toys. Many people were even also selling futons and couches, which definitely was a plus for those of us who wanted to lounge around between our shifts! Music blasting from the old school boom box in the corner, kids playing on the grass and great company all around, what more could you ask for on a nice, sunny day?

Gyu-Kaku was really good but also really expensive because they paid by how many people were at the table. It still was really good though, even when I came late. It was nice to see PHI family one last time together for the semester.

We arrived at Santa Monica very early in the morning to rows and rows of crosses planted in the sand. We learned that each cross represents 10 soldiers who passed away in combat. We helped set up caskets for the solders who passed away during the week and were part of a small ceremony honoring these soldiers.

Alphas doing what we do best, chill. The night was supposed to be a night of board games and such at the family head's apartment, a.k.a the alpha cave, but instead ended up being an enjoyable evening of good conversation and watching Superbad.

APO Family meets Modern Family, and more specifically, meets Eric Stonestreet. Hilarious and hilarious, questions flew, laughters emerged, and Stonestreet captured the crowd with his witticisms and stories. Overall, the event was engaging and exhilarating, and it turns out, Stonestreet was a professional clown before he was an actor.

Leah, Kevin, and I went to Bovard during SpringFest to watch and support USC Nikkei. We were able to see APO's very own Jesse Pajo act in it! Overall, the show was funny, exciting, and full of heart. The show also benefited from the many dance groups that performed there.

With four chapters present, Alpha Kappa, Rho Gamma, Chi, and Omega Sigma, interchapter bonding was in full stride as APO took part in Interchapter Park Day in Pasadena. The day's activities included a potluck where people ate their fill of pizza, chips, and desserts. After lunch, the chapters present circled up and got to know each other. The circle was then divided up into groups which participated in an Easter egg hunt. However, children at the park had already gathered a great amount of the dispersed eggs, beforehand. Finally, IC Park Day included interchapter sports including football, basketball, and volleyball. Overall, everyone had a fantastic time getting to know members of other chapters or catching up with the members they already knew.

Eating some of the greasiest, most heavenly burgers in the world, APO set out on a track to Lucky Boy Burgers. From Avocado burgers to mounts of zucchini fries, there was no doubt that our stomachs would be satisfied until the end of time. We indulged ourselves in so much food that we even wanted to get boba from half and half afterwards! Traditional, I know. It was really a great time, spending time with our fellow brothers, eating ourselves to death, and laughing until we were delirious. Great event!

Scrapbooking and crepes go hand in hand. Shab's delicious crepes fueled our creative energies as we put together Alpha Kappa's chapter scrapbook. Can't wait to show it off at Initiation!
